Mouthin Off Cosmetics is a vegan cosmetic line in Detroit, MI specializing in bronzers, lip balm, and lipstick. Owners Precious and Amber Reid are featured move makers on our Motivational Entrepreneur List. Born and bred in Detroit, this sister duo decided to gamble on themselves and chase after their dreams. The duo are creatives who feed off of entrepreneurship and saw some rules in the beauty industry that had to be broken. The sisters’ needed to create a vegan cosmetic line they could see themselves in.
Mouthin Off Cosmetics was a dream in 2014, turn reality April of 2018. The products are cruelty-free, vegan and gluten-free. The Reid sisters wanted to do more than just create a gluten-free cosmetic line, so they used their platform to help make a change towards the deafening issues that our society faces. The Reid sister’s motivation was always to live a life with purpose, so they are activist in their community. Additionally, for every product sold, Mouthin Off Cosmetics donate a portion of its proceeds towards organizations that are close to the sisters’ hearts: The Innocence Project, Million Hoodies, Black Women’s Blueprint, and New Era Detroit. “We aim to empower everyone. We believe that beauty has no limit. We want our current and potential customers to shop with a purpose in mind. Giving back is the heart and soul of our company.”
