DIY Uncorked offers the most unique sip and create workshop in all of Ann Arbor. This woodworking workshop is instructed by owner, Sion Hohn, who is a featured move maker on our Motivational Entrepreneur List.
The vision for DIY Uncorked began over a few beers with his best friend and some tools. Sion and his best friend believed that everyone should experience the amazing feeling of empowerment and accomplishment that comes with creating something with their own hands. DIY Uncorked, the Ann Arbor franchise, was established September 2017. This woodworking workshop bring people together to sip and create unique, crafty wood projects from scratch. All tools, materials and instructions are provided, and no experience is required. DIY Uncorked instructors walk you through the process, step-by-step, making sure that you can complete your project to your liking. This woodworking workshop offer a wide range of creative building projects for friends, family, couples, children, as well as team building private events for parties both big and small.
New projects are added all the time, even one’s suggested by customers. If you are unable to make it to the venue, DIY Uncorked will come to you. All you have to do is bring your own refreshments, and they will handle the rest. The DIY Uncorked experience will be the most unique and fun sip and create night you’ll ever have. Think Woodshop, but way more fun, way less drama, and you’re making something you’ll definitely use and love.
Sion, the owner of the Ann Arbor franchise, is motivated by the smiles and thanks he gets from individuals who enjoy their evening with DIY Uncorked. In addition to his woodworking workshop, Sion does carpentry as a hobby, construction design, mechanical design, and lift weights.
CHALLENGES TURN VICTORIES
Sion’s biggest challenge currently is private space to hold his woodworking workshop. Until he overcomes that challenge, Sion is currently partnering with other places, where they mutually help one another’s business.
